Credibility – it’s one thing effective charities and fundraisers have in common, but how do they build and maintain it? How does a charity become ‘trusted’? For most charities – but especially those just starting out – building genuine trust and credibility before ‘the ask’ will be key to fundraising success, because it reassures potential donors that their investment will be worthwhile. Building trust takes time, resources, and energy. But, investing in the process is worth it. In this session, we’ll look at transparency, and explore how media relations, social media and stakeholder engagement can be utilised to highlight your good work, and generate the kind of third party endorsement that will ultimately help you cement your charity as a safe and sensible investment.
