Do you remember when you use to hang out for the recess or lunch bell to ring so you could run out and play with your friends, whether it was hanging off the monkey bars, playing four square, basketball or some imaginary game – you had a drive and the energy to discover and try new things.
Fast forward to where we find ourselves today, where we are often most comfortable in playing within the same sandbox day after day.
Like with our Gift in Will programs and acquisition, think of that sandbox as your database of donors and only investing all your time and energy playing within it making traditional approaches which often focus on regular givers and active long-term donors.
While effective, this “sandbox” thinking limits our potential. To truly excel, we must embrace a broader, more inclusive strategy. We must re-engineer our minds to when we were invincible and bold to try new things and engage outside the safety of our sandbox.
This presentation will take you on a journey that will dissect Anglicare WA’s recent bequest campaign which exemplified this approach, leading to an impressive $2.5 million in estimated future income.
Key findings from our campaign highlight the importance of diversity and inclusion. By thoughtfully engaging with new segments, our success underscores that inclusivity is not just a moral imperative but a strategic advantage.
By embracing all community members who resonate with our respective organisations, we can drive greater success and foster a more sustainable future for our organisations.
