Building and sustaining a successful major gifts and grants strategy – the key success factors
Thursday 24 Feb 2022 - 8:00 am to 9:00 am
Youth Insearch supports at-risk young people in rural Australia, aged 14 – 20 that otherwise fall between the cracks. Their highly successful and evidence-based early intervention program addresses disadvantaged youths’ underlying mental and social challenges to reconnect them with services and society. While having delivered services since 1985, proactive and strategic fundraising through the employment of fundraising specialists, only commenced in 2019.
To enable growth of their place-based model, Youth Insearch have deployed a successful grants and major gift fundraising campaign that has seen success from new government and philanthropic funding partners, major donor events and campaigns and leveraging of Board and existing donor relationships to build a program that last year saw an increase in fundraising revenue of x %. (This figure would be updated post EOFY and closer to Conference publication dates).
Stephen Lewin, CEO of Youth Insearch, will be joined by Jo Garner, Director of Strategic Grants to case study the successful implementation and growth of the Youth Insearch major gifts and grants fundraising strategy, against the latest best practice advice and trends from leading philanthropists and donors on what they are looking for in successful partnerships.
