How to make your prospect engagement events engaging

Thursday 23 Feb 2023 - 9:10 am to 10:10 am

  • General Fundraiser (all fundraisers)

Prospect engagement events play a key role in the cultivation and relationship development with major donors and prospects. They are an opportunity to showcase the impact of your organisation, share your vision for the future and the role philanthropy has making that vision a reality.

But let’s be real, getting your Board, your Advocates and sometimes even your team excited about another event can be deflating in its own right. If it is difficult motivating those close to the organisation, how much harder will it be to motivate those on the fringes?

Today more than ever, engagement events need to be engaging. Everything, from the invitation, to the venue, to format of the event must present a unique opportunity that appeals to those invited and motivates them to attend.

Creativity and Strategy are important to making your engagement event a ‘must attend’ but also to the ultimate goal of establishing and developing major donor relationships that result in generous giving.

We will look at how engagement events have changed over recent years, the process of planning a successful event today and through real event case studies illustrate the value of rethinking how you engage with major donors and prospects.
