TRACK • Fundraising How To…

The art of meeting people where they are: How a multi-touchpoint approach to brand engagement can support fundraising growth

Thursday 20 Feb 2025 - 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm

  • General Fundraiser (all fundraisers)

Bluey and Bingo, Vegemite and toast, Bunnings and sausage sizzles…Fundraising and Brand? We know that Fundraising and Brand teams don’t always have the easiest relationship – but we also know that great things can happen when the two work in harmony.

At SCHF, our incredible fundraising teams are expert in identifying, acquiring, and stewarding people who are ready to give. But what about the ones who aren’t? The ones who have no reason or desire to engage with SCHF – the people who are lost to us before we’ve even begun?

Well – that’s where our brand team comes in.

Our presentation will show how we’ve developed a brand strategy with a strong focus on brand engagement, partnerships, and activations, to help us meet people where they are, whether that’s partnering with their favourite sports team or turning up at their local Christmas concert.

We’ll cover our lead gen initiatives that give people the content they’re already looking for and our incentives that people really value, giving them a tangible reason to engage with us. And we’ll talk through our brand onboarding journey that makes them care about our brand, tells us more about who they are… and even sends them a little surprise in the post.

The result? We’ve built a pool of highly engaged people who have found tangible value in connecting with the SCHF brand and who have a good understanding of what we do – making them the perfect target for conversion into financial supporters when the time is right.

And to prove this approach works, we’ll share our conversion results from the last 12 months to show how we’ve contributed to fundraising growth, as well as our plans to build out the program in future.
