Cath has led CARE Australia’s fundraising and marketing efforts science joining in 2019.

After starting her career in corporate communications Cath headed to the Cancer Council of Victoria as the Events and Community Fundraising Manager. For over 10 years she spearheaded the development and launch of innovative peer to peer fundraising programs including Girls Night In and the first Australian pilot of Relay for Life. Cath was also a founding collaborator for the charity sector’s “Include a Charity” gift in wills campaign.

Along with fundraising Cath is also an experienced digital marketer with an astute appreciation of the benefits of technology to improve the experience of donors, having introduced the first paperless (tablet) application for F2F sign-ups in Australia and a pioneer of 2-step digital acquisition.

Over her career, spanning 25 years she has created multiple inspiring and award winning campaigns and raised hundreds of millions of dollars for not-for-profits from cancer research,  environment protection and human rights.

Before joining CARE Australia, Cath was previously the Director of Fundraising and Marketing at the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre, National Director of Membership and Fundraising at The Wilderness Society and Joint Chief Executive Officer at The Wilderness Society.
