The social events calendar includes:

Welcome Reception

Join us for the official welcome reception of FIA Conference 2025! Network with friends and colleagues over a drink and some canapes in the exhibition hall.

Date: Wednesday 19 February 2025

Time: 5.30pm – 7.00pm

Where: International Convention Centre (ICC) Sydney – inside the exhibition

Tickets included in full conference registration. Additional tickets at $95 each.

Sydney Cultural Walk

Please join us for a traditional cultural walk around Darling Harbour where you will explore the local area and its original inhabitants. You will learn more about locally sourced foods and resources for tool-making, and discover the significance of nearby rock art. There will also be samples and opportunities for deeper cultural interaction during the walk.

We will start off the session with a traditional smoking and ochre ceremony, emphasising its importance and an acknowledgment of country. 

This will begin at 7.00am on Thursday 20 February and will run for approximately an hour in duration. Participants are to convene in front of the registration desk on the ground floor of the ICC Sydney (main entrance) at 6.45am to meet with the tour guide.
